Splash Gallery of Olympia is owned and operated by local fine art artists who work in a variety of media. I have joined this group and have on display my most recent creations in watercolor collage and water-based oil paintings. July will feature watercolor collage paintings; August will feature water-based oil paintings; and September, I will surprise you! Gallery is located in Olympia at Percival Landing, 501 Columbia Street NW. The hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday 11AM to 7PM and Sunday 11AM to 6PM.

Joanne's watercolor painting has been accepted into the 2011 CVG Show, a state-wide juried art show held at the Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton, Washington. “Iris Family” is one of 129 artworks chosen from over 700 works submitted by artists throughout Washington State by exhibition juror Dennis Peacock. Mr. Peacock is a sculptor and Professor emeritus from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville who is now based in Shelton, Washington. Accepted artists will be competing for $6,000+ in cash prizes plus potential purchase awards and will be on display at CVG during the month of February.

The Collective Visions Gallery is located at 331 Pacific Avenue in downtown Bremerton and will be open 10 to 5 Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 on Sundays during the month of February. The public is invited to vote on a $300 People’s Choice award February 1 through 5, including the First Friday evening gallery walk, February 4.

The Holiday Show runs from November 19th to January. Two of my Pastel Paintings are on display at the State of the Arts Gallery, 500 Washington St. S.E. in downtown Olympia, Washington. The gallery hours are Tues. - Fri. 10AM to 5:30PM and Saturday 11AM to 4-ish.

Studio 229 in Seattle, Washington, is hosting a solo display of my Watercolor Collage Paintings from November 15th to January. The studio is located on 229 Broadway East, Suite 7. It is open Tues - Fri. 11AM to 7PM and Saturday 10AM to 6PM.

A solo Art Exhibit of fifteen watercolor collage paintings are on display until May 15th at the Department of Ecology in Lacey, Washington.

Because of the security for the building, you will need to phone ahead for an appointment to view the art.

The main phone number is 360-407-6000 or Jeffree Stewart, art coordinator, 360-407-6521. Other people you might ask for if Jeffree is not available are Janet Hyre or Kim Collins who are art committee colleagues. The hours are weekdays 8AM to 5PM. The Department of Ecology is located at 300 Desmond Drive SE in Lacey just past the Martin Way exit from I-5.

The Edmonds Arts Commission is pleased to present an exhibit entitled “Art and Healing” featuring work by Joanne Osband & Mary Ann Hall. The exhibit at Edmonds Library runs now through January 31, 2010. Library hours are Monday-Thursday 10 am to 9 pm, Friday 10 am-6 pm, Saturday 10 am-5 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm. The Edmonds Library is located at 650 Main St. The current exhibit explores the use of art in healing.

This juried art sale is a popular event attended by people from as far as Seattle and Portland. Do not miss the opportunity to see and purchase high quality fine art and crafts created by local artists of the South Sound region. The art show is two weekends, December 5th & 6th and December 12th & 13th, with different artists each weekend. The location is at the State Capital Museum Coach House on 211 West 21st Avenue, Olympia, Washington. I will be displaying and selling art both weekends. Hope to see YOU!

If you are an Olympian resident or live nearby, you are cordially invited to the Holiday Art Show Reception at the State of the Arts Gallery in downtown Olympia on 5th and Washington. The artist will be available from noon to 4PM. I have two watercolor paintings hanging. I hope to see YOU there! The show will continue through January.

One of my new paintings from the New England Fall Color Series has been selected for this art show in Cannon Beach, Oregon. It is an encaustic done with hot wax, craypas, and colored tissue paper. The Cannon Beach Gallery is located at the end of town on 1064 S. Hemlock Street and open, Thursdays through Mondays from 10-4PM. The Miniature Art Show will run for the month of November. A good excuse to visit one of my favorite beaches, Cannon Beach.

For the month of September, eleven of my watercolor paintings and watercolor collage paintings are hanging in Woodinville City Hall and Council Chambers located at 17301 133rd Avenue NE in the heart of Woodinville, Washington.
